Network Marketing itself is not a scam. The company that you sign up with, is what you need to know about first. How long have they been in business? What is their product? And how much do I need to sign up?
As for cost, each company is different, and some make you use your own leads. As in sign up 2 friends who in turn sign up two friends, and your line increases that way. If you have to pay for leads I would be extremely cautious!
In all my time network marketing I found that the absolute best lead is one that you generated yourself. Buying leads is a complete waste of time and money believe me I’ve been there done that.
Different MLM programs will offer different results. There can even be huge differences in price as well, ranging from $25 to $2000.
The reason why most people think MLM is a scam is because with most MLM systems it can take quite a while before you actually start making some money from your downline. Not seeing any results from your efforts will also make it harder to stay motivated. Which is vital, if you don’t put in the time and energy when setting up your business, you’ll never make good money with MLM.
You should look for an MLM strategy that can start making you money immediately to pay for your membership. That’s how I got started with MLM and it has worked wonders for me. The system I use has a 5-10% conversion on the main program. Which is really good.

You can make this work. The problem is that a MLM runs out of prospects as you go 9-people deep into the prospecting. Each of the 9 hires 9 so the number gets exponential. You run out of possible recruits..
